Turkey Hill Dairy recalls ice cream with undeclared nuts
February 8, 2010

The Patriot News -- Turkey Hill Dairy of Pennsylvania is recalling cartons of chocolate marshmallow premium ice cream because almonds accidentally may have been added during production.

People with nut allergies could suffer an allergic reaction if they consume the product.

The product has been removed from grocery store shelves. The company suspects fewer than 150 cartons may have been exposed to almonds.

Effected containers were sold after January 28. They are rounded, rectangular, cream-colored, paperboard, 48 oz. packages with a farm scene and ice cream scoop graphics. Packages are marked on the bottom with the code “01/18/2011 56/L1”.

Cartons can be returned for a full refund. For information, call 1-800-MY-DAIRY (1-800-693-2479).
