Pesticides
Fumigants and Fungicides

Fumigants are pesticides used widely in the treatment of grains, fruits and vegetables. Methyl bromide, ethylene dibromide, ethylene dichloride, carbon tetrachloride, phosphine and ethylene oxide are the major fumigants used for this purpose.
Insecticides

N-methyl carbamates are commonly used insecticides. Commercial brands associated with this group of pesticides include Dimethan and Tatoo.
Herbicides

Paraquat and diquat are non-selective herbicides, meaning they kill any plant they come into contact with rather than a specific type of plant. Both are highly toxic. In the past few decades, these herbicides were popular agents for suicide, particularly in Japan and developing countries.
